A 17-year veteran of the industry, Jon advises his clients on the full lifecycle of real estate acquisition and occupancy, guiding them through market analysis, site selection, build-to-suit improvements, property management, exit strategy and more.
Jon’s real estate practice has equipped him with countless hours of experience and knowledge of lease transaction negotiations with junior box retailers and small shop tenants alike. Throughout his career, he has gained detailed experience in retrofitting property for restaurant use, including the placement of exhaust chases and hood systems and electrical and plumbing for kitchens, bars and bathrooms.
Jon has extensive experience walking with landlords and tenants through retail property development, for both build-to-suit and acquisition and redevelopment.
Currently, Jon’s primary focus has him guiding sophisticated site selection for national chains expanding aggressively throughout Indiana; high-growth tech companies seeking headquarter acquisition/development; globally recognized not for profits identifying legacy headquarters locations, and more.
A graduate of Hanover College with degrees in both business administration and economics, Michael began his real estate career in 2003 as Retail Specialist. Over the years he has worked hard at building a career guiding his clients through the buy, sell and lease process helping the growth of the Indianapolis market and the Hoosier state, of which he prides himself.
Michael is also a business owner, a proprietor of three highly successful restaurants in the Indianapolis area, giving him first-hand knowledge, a valuable asset he brings to his clients who are looking to create something of their own.
Michael specializes in tenant representation, disposition of retail assets and landlord leasing. He is an active member of ICSC participating in Next Gen activities and is a counsel chairman for ChainLinks Retail Advisors. Michael was also nominated for the Indiana Business Journal 40 under 40 list.
Thomas English began his real estate career as a broker with CB Richard Ellis. While there, English worked exclusively in retail, including tenant representation, land sales, shopping center leasing and multi-location disposition. With a growing passion for all aspects of the retail real estate business, English left the firm to begin looking for new opportunities to further develop his retail expertise.
Finding promising opportunity in the development sector, English and another broker partnered to create Maquina Realty Corporation, a real estate firm specializing in retail projects. Together, the duo completed $30 million in acquisition and development projects, creating name recognition and reputation in the retail development world.
With years of industry experience, from brokerage to development to acquisition under his belt, English made the decision to venture out on his own to create Thomas English Retail Real Estate. From its inception in 2004, the company has grown significantly, developing and acquiring over 60 properties with 1,000,000 SF valued in excess of $250,000,000.
The market is currently presenting select small development projects and Thomas English is active on those opportunities.
Mr English has 24 years of industry experience and is a member of several professional and industry groups, including the International Council of Shopping Centers, and Urban Land Institute.
When not working to expand his business, Tom stays very busy with his 3 children, Chloe, Claire and Cagan.
Kevin brings over 15 years of experience in the leasing industry. Previously with Simon Property Group and Washington Prime Group, Kevin led several high-profile retail development and redevelopment projects for community, lifestyle, and power centers. Since the start of his career in 2005, he has successfully completed over 400 new permanent deals and has a proven track record working with a wide range of tenants—from national and regional brands to luxury, local, and anchor tenants.
In his new role at metaCRE, Kevin will oversee all current listings, vacancies, and leases, and he will focus on expanding our market presence to drive new business and growth opportunities. Kevin’s expertise and dedication make him a valuable addition to our team as we continue to strengthen our position in the industry.
David was born and raised in Indiana, living in Fishers for most of his life where he graduated from HSE High School where he played Baseball and Football. He attended the University of Southern Indiana for two years and then finished at IUPUI where he graduated from the Kelley School of Business with a double major in Management and Human Resources. He currently resides in Pendleton, IN with his wife Ashley and his two dogs.
David got his start in real estate during college where he worked as a property manager for Revel & Underwood on a brand-new self-storage facility In Zionsville, IN where he began to start learning the self-storage industry. During his time as a property manager, he was able to obtain his real estate brokers license while leasing up facility to allow the owners to exit with a sale that resulted in 3x return. From there he moved from being on property level to the central office in an Associate role where oversaw day-to-day operations of all assets that company manages where furthered his knowledge in the operations side of real estate and the development process. This also included assisting in leasing efforts on all new retail centers under representation. During his Associate role, he engaged in all assets of real estate from land sales, zoning/entitlement, planning, leasing, project management, property management, and disposition. From there he was promoted to a VP role where he oversaw the entire property management division and brokerage activity where he grew to love all aspects of the real estate business. He was also the lead on most development projects where he was involved with strategic site selection, feasibility studies, pro-formas and project management. He continued to be involved in all aspects of the development transaction from acquisition all the way to disposition. During his time as a VP role, he has been able to fine tune his knowledge in all aspects of real estate. He has been able to assist not only his clients on all sides of the transaction, but also developers in finding new retail and self-storage opportunities, taking them from site selection to fruition.
In his short 7-year career, he has been involved in $114m of real estate activity in a small boutique shop that primarily focused only on Central Indiana. David is also involved in real estate investing as well as an owner of self-storage facilities which provides a valuable insight to his clients. Currently, his focus will be on continuing to provide his clients with valuable site selection in key markets and continue to provide a development pipeline of retail and self-storage sites being involved from all sides of the transaction.
James began his real estate career as an intern with development firm Thomas English Retail Real Estate, where he learned the ins and out of site selection and acquisition. After graduation from Wabash College, James joined metaCRE full-time as a broker representing developers on site acquisitions across the country.
Ian Brady recently joined metaCRE as an Associate Broker, where he will focus on representing developers with market analysis, site selection, and strategic acquisitions nationwide. A recent graduate of Marquette University, Ian is currently pursuing his MBA at Ball State University while beginning his full-time career in brokerage.
Barbara’s experience includes over 38 years of property management ranging from multi-million-dollar commercial portfolios to small single-tenant buildings, including strong cash flow projects to those in or recently out of receivership. She has managed complete tenant buildouts, landlord-directed tenant relocations, and co-managed large construction renovations. She also holds a managing broker real estate license for the State of Indiana.
